A cap toe Derby: a seam runs straight across the toe and the lacing quarters sit open on top of the vamp, which gives more room over the instep than an Oxford. Light brogue punching follows the quarter seam and nothing else, so the shoe stays formal enough for tailoring. The toe is drawn to a soft point and the sole is welted with contrast stitching.
