A riding boot on a low stacked block heel, with a narrow strap and an antique brass buckle set at the ankle — the only hardware on the boot and the reason it does not read plain. The shaft is cut close to the calf so the line runs unbroken to the knee, and a zip runs the full height for getting in and out. The sole is lightly treaded. Wear with a midi skirt and opaque tights, or over slim trousers.
