A popover opens only halfway, so it pulls on over the head and keeps a clean line down the front where a full placket would break it. The collar is a short grandad band and the placket carries four antique brass buttons. The weave is a slubby cotton linen with a dry, washed handle, cut with room through the body and finished with a curved hem that sits lower at the back. Wear on its own, or under an overshirt when it turns.
