A mandarin collar stands upright at the neck without folding down, which gives a cleaner line than a point collar and takes the shirt out of formal territory. A small navy motif is embroidered at the chest and the placket is faced in red on the inside, so a thin line of colour shows at the collar and at the side vents. The weave is a slubby cotton linen with a dry handle. Wear buttoned to the top, or open with a knit layered over.
